A proponent of plein air painting, Robert Malone considers landscape painting to be “a source of spiritual connection to the mystical elements of human existence.” He attempts to convey nature’s sublimity in his work, its stylistic unity meant to mirror nature’s harmony.

Malone received his MFA from the University of Mississippi and his BFA from the Memphis College of Art. Since 1997, he has been an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi where he teaches drawing, color theory, and painting courses. He has exhibited widely throughout the Southeastern U.S.
