Southside Gallery is excited to welcome back Linda Burgess and William Dunlap for an exhibition of new work this April! The title of the show, The Way We Live Now, is an intriguing allusion to what's to come and what came before.
The Way We Live Now accurately encapsulates the work of Linda Burgess and William Dunlap, even though their art practice, palette and content differ widely. Burgess’s atmospheric observations of people, flora and fauna are mysterious and evocative, while Dunlap’s loose, painterly approach to familiar agrarian landscape, its inhabitants and structures, honors Color Field painting and moves off in new directions. The implied narrative is present in both their works.
